No matter where you go today, each business has it’s own unique language and set of acronyms. Whilst this is fine for people who are familiar with them, all too often they can be confusing for new team members, particularly when you are building a project team.
Ensuring everyone understands the terminology and is removing excess jargon is one of the simplest ways to ensure communication is clear and all team members are working towards the same goals. When you are stating your next project to deliver improvements to your operations and maintenance activities, consider the language you are using and how you get everyone speaking “plain English” from the onset.
