The Challenge
A lack of alignment in the company’s vision and mission had resulted in an unfocused business plan for the organisation.
An outcome of this was a management team that had developed independent business priorities, which were adversely affecting business viability and sustainability.
The Solution
EnterpriseIS facilitated a business alignment workshop with the Leadership team to refine the business Vision and Mission, and develop the execution strategies.
We then ran a series of workshops with a broader management team to develop the actions that would form the individual site business plans using a three-phase approach:
Phase 1: Realignment of Business direction and priorities. Develop customer focus and staff alignment strategies.
Phase 2: Introduce basic models and frameworks about the individual and the team. Create the felt need for working together, in order to deliver better business outcomes and service to customers.
Phase 3: Strengthen the understanding of how to maximise the team and interpersonal effectiveness, build team cohesiveness and interdependence and develop shared team values, that were both aligned with, and enable the team to live the business’ values more effectively.
The Results
- Increased clarity of role, accountability and responsibility towards achieving the vision
- Organisational and personal goals and expectations became very clear to all
- The prioritisation of tasks was achieved quickly as consensus to the priority was easy
- Visibility of achievement to plan, both on a personal scale and a business wide scale was very clear.
