NSW Government has recently given the planning approval for the gas import facility at Port Kembla, which will be operated by Australian Industrial Energy in partnership with Squadron Energy. This project aims to provide additional secure gas supplies to NSW through the existing power network, whilst also providing opportunities for local employment within the Illawarra region.
