Austmine STEM METS Career Pathway Program

It was great to see such a full house at the Austmine STEM METS Career Pathway program discussion at the @University of Wollongong yesterday, where they heard from our own Andrew Curry, Hendrik Lourens from Stratflo and one of the previous METS interns Hiral Jain.

This program is designed to assist university students’ awareness of the METS sector through an internship within the industry.  Whilst cyclical in nature, the mining sector in Australia will continue to need the resources of clever engineers, scientists and thinkers of all sorts as it moves through the current era of rapid change.

Each generation of miners and mining service providers has been instrumental in the growth of this sector, and this will only continue into the future with our ongoing need for the resources to build the world of tomorrow.

Congratulations to Sheldon Varcoe and Nicole Colomb for another well run and informative event.
