In the Spotlight: John Puggioni
I am an Asset Management Consultant at EnterpriseIS with an Electrical Engineering background and over 35 years of experience across the manufacturing and mining industries. My focus is helping clients achieve their business objectives by developing robust, effective asset management strategies, while also mentoring and supporting my colleagues as they navigate their own projects.
What drew me to this field is a lifelong curiosity about why equipment fails and how proactive strategies can extend asset life. Over the years, I’ve built expertise in operational readiness, reliability improvement, routine maintenance, technical writing, and spares management—skills I now use to guide organisations through meaningful improvement initiatives.
I thrive in multidisciplinary teams and enjoy the age‑old banter between the electrical and mechanical trades. I take every opportunity to show my mechanical counterparts that sometimes a multimeter really is more effective than a hammer and chisel. It’s all in good fun — the back‑and‑forth keeps us sharp and reminds us that different perspectives are what make a team stronger.
Outside of work, I’m passionate about walking, home improvement projects, and gardening — all of which keep me grounded and hands‑on. I’m also a lifelong motorsport fan (Ferrari and DJR through and through), a proud Manly Sea Eagles supporter, and a collector of model cars. And while I don’t crawl into tight spaces much these days, I’m still a fully qualified and licensed electrician — a reminder of where my career began, the training I was fortunate to receive and the practical skills that continue to shape my approach.
My guiding principle is simple: listen carefully, follow through on your commitments, and remember that a good reputation is more valuable than money.
