In the Spotlight: Michael Rix
Meet Michael Rix, Operations Director for Enterprise Improvement Solutions Australia Pty Ltd (EnterpriseIS).
With over 30 years of experience in operations leadership, including the start-up of five facilities, Michael Rix brings a wealth of knowledge, calm confidence, and a passion for helping clients achieve their goals.
As our Operations Director, he leads project teams, supports sales and marketing, and still rolls up his sleeves to deliver projects in areas of risk, operational readiness, and operations.
Michael’s journey began as a Graduate Chemical Engineer, and his love for operations, maintenance, and start-ups naturally led him to join the EnterpriseIS team.
“This role is a great fit,” he says. “It gives me the chance to share what I’ve learned to help our clients succeed with their start-ups and ongoing operations.”
What really lights him up?
“Helping clients fast-track the implementation of projects that lead to a renewable future. Through diversity of thought we solve our clients’ problems (and occasionally some of the world’s) and we have a lot of fun doing it.”
Outside of work, Michael is all about mountain biking, playing guitar, and anything to do with renewable energy. He’s joined the Electrify Illawarra group to help accelerate the uptake of all electric households and businesses in his community.
Michael rides his e-bike to work and spends his downtime outdoors or travelling overseas with his fiancée Fiona, now their kids are all grown up. Michael loves hanging in his native garden that feeds hundreds of honey-eaters, parrots and rosellas.
And here’s a fun fact you might not expect: Michael once held the world record for the largest number of people boot-scooting in one place. Over 25,000 people in his hometown of Tamworth, NSW!
