Fortescue Metals Group (FMG) have recently moved a step closer to full approval for the Eliwana iron ore project. The Environmental Protection Agency sending its final recommendation to the WA Government.
Eliwana will ensure FMG are able to maintain their production of 170 mtpa (Metric tonnes per annum) over the next 20 years.
This is another positive step for FMG, which has gone from strength to strength since commencing mining operations in 2007. Becoming the fourth largest iron ore producer in the world.
