Asset Management Evaluation

Our client had many areas within the Asset Management boundaries needing improvement but was uncertain of the level of improvement required and the roadmap to achieve a successful outcome. Opportunities existed in both their Mobile fleet and fixed plant.

To provide improved services at optimised costs to their customers and shareholders, it was identified that there was an opportunity to evaluate their asset management processes against industry benchmarks  for their Underground and Processing operations.

EnterpriseIS used our 12-element Asset Management Evaluation tool, aligned to ISO55001, to determine the ‘As Is’ current state business processes and asset performance.  The evaluation included interviewing over 20 employees who provided over 1000 answers. These were validated by a detailed review of the client’s  policies, standards, procedures and 12 months of performance data.

Based on the evaluation results, a series of opportunities were identified and prioritisied through close consultation with the client’s management team.  Once agreed and validated, the improvement actions were formalised into project charters, that formed an implementation roadmap including estimated costs, time schedules and resource requirements.
